Everyone dreams of getting a promotion or increasing their income. However, most people only take a passive approach of just working hard, staying loyal, doing only as they are told and hoping that one day, their salaries will automatically increase. When the disappointment creeps in, they lose hold of their dreams and end up dejected – without having learnt the tools to manage their disappointment and bounce back to success. You know that it has NOTHING to do with age, qualifications, experience or seniority (not any more!). In the new economy, you must PROACTIVELY take action to decide how much income you want and develop a STRATEGY to create it. Your ability to achieve ANYTHING in life depends on your ability to influence people to your way of thinking! You have to know how to think smart when you want to create wealth. There are plenty of books out there that will teach you this but one thing I want to point out is the knowledge of knowing how to invest on yourself to become wealthier. This is the only way how your wealth can sustain and grow.

How to force myself to study harder? Lost all motivation?
Hey, I'm 16, and I've always been a good student. Mostly I'd end up the first in my class and stuff, last year I won a scholarship. But then I moved away, I changed schools and I REALLY HATE MY SCHOOL NOW.I have no friends. My old friends don't really talk to me anymore, even though we've been really close. I hate my school. I have a feeling that everyone hates me, including teachers. Im always alone. I come home and check out my old friends profiles on fb and stuff, and when they talk about hanging out or anything I get really depressed. So basically I lost motivation for everything. Yesterday I just came home and did NOTHING, like a dead person. I really have to study because my GCSEs are in three months time. But when I try to start, I think about school and everything and I just tell myself to study some other time. My grades are going down. Help?

I don't have any motivation to get good grades in school?
I'm 14 in eighth grade and I don't have any motivation in school whatsoever. I get decent grades, A's and B's, but I used to be a straight A student until this year. I feel like I'll never be as good as my friends. I want to be an artist or photographer when I grow up so I'd rather spend my time doing that. Advanced Algebra is not my thing. My parents care about my grades to an extent, but they don't encourage my to do my best. How do I get my motivation back?

No motivation for driving test. Help?
Basically I've failed 4 driving tests, despitemy instructor and other experienced drivers I've been out with telling me I'm good enough. It's obviously a matter of nerves I hate that sort of aura that the examiner gives off if you no what I mean, stigma for me. On every test I've drunk practically an entire bottle of rescue remedy which makes no difference, and I've also tried that thing when you act like they're not there or thinking it's just a friend but no luck. I'll admit that my 1st test I definitely should have failed but the other 3 have been debatable. My second test was the one I got really pumped up for and drove brilliantly although I got quite a few minors for progress, considering my instructor told me to take everything slow I suppose i could say this was deliberate. Anyways, as the examiner couldn't find anything to fail me on they decided to go for something really petty got it for waving someone across at a junction even after i checked it was safe for them . I now find myself within a week of my fifth test without having had a lesson since my last failure few weeks ago. It's not a problem, I know I'm a good enough driver but I just have zero motivation. I have a car waiting for me to be pinging about in but just the thought of seeing those monotonous wankers at the test centre depresses me. When we're driving along and tyhe dont say anything for prolonged periods is when I seem to make most mistakes because my mind wanders looking forwards to what I'll do later maybe. Thanks.

Please advise on School Psychology textbook for developing academic progress, goals setting, motivation etc?
I am a clinical psychologist, and I have recently started working in a high school. While I am well experienced in assessments, intellectual disability, autism, I would like recommendations on School Psychology textbooks which will help me in targeting academic progress, goals setting, motivational problems, etc.According to Amazon, " School Psychology for the 21st Century Foundations and Practices" by Merrell, Ervin & Peacock , and " Effective School Interventions, Second Edition Evidence Based Strategies for Improving Student Outcomes" by Rathvon , are well recommended on Amazon. Could anyone here share their experiences with these, or suggest others?

Is there any research about employers who are on the NWW and their attitude or motivation in the workplace?
I have been searching on the BSA, the ONS and the low pay commission. I am trying to find something relevant to this research, although it doesn't necessarily have to be the same.
