Everyone dreams of getting a promotion or increasing their income. However, most people only take a passive approach of just working hard, staying loyal, doing only as they are told and hoping that one day, their salaries will automatically increase. When the disappointment creeps in, they lose hold of their dreams and end up dejected – without having learnt the tools to manage their disappointment and bounce back to success. You know that it has NOTHING to do with age, qualifications, experience or seniority (not any more!). In the new economy, you must PROACTIVELY take action to decide how much income you want and develop a STRATEGY to create it. Your ability to achieve ANYTHING in life depends on your ability to influence people to your way of thinking! You have to know how to think smart when you want to create wealth. There are plenty of books out there that will teach you this but one thing I want to point out is the knowledge of knowing how to invest on yourself to become wealthier. This is the only way how your wealth can sustain and grow.
What "extra" do they teach at IIM compared to other colleges?is life success guaranteed if we are from IIM?
MBA is nowadays lot less demanded than an Engineering degree. I myself did a full time MBA from an AICTE approved college but after passing find that I gained so little knowledge to tackle the world I am from the Science field so I also felt that MBA is more suited to Commerce people. Many challenge me saying how Engineers are successfully doing their MBA. To this I say that good colleges reserve 5 % of the seats in each class for engineers & I myself experienced while I was in college that they are given good marks deliberately and they easily pass. And as far as I feel after reading newspapers those guys getting hefty salaries after passing out from IIM's are mostly from rich families bureaucrats, businessman or politicians .There are exceptions though and they are already very able since most of them have already done Engineering or CA or Law or something very valuable degree,so no question that they are selected in CAT and get very high paid jobs after passing out from IIM's. Am i right? correct me if i am wrong anywhere. Going to different colleges affect life success?
ok first off i live with a family obsessed with success, and i have been getting above a 3.8 gpa the two years ive been in high school. my parents want me to go to a big school, like UC berkeley, but im more interested in small colleges, like maybe biola or pepperdine... they tell me i will be living paycheck to paycheck if i dont go to a big college.is this true? will i be more succesful if i go to a bigger college?
