Everyone dreams of getting a promotion or increasing their income. However, most people only take a passive approach of just working hard, staying loyal, doing only as they are told and hoping that one day, their salaries will automatically increase. When the disappointment creeps in, they lose hold of their dreams and end up dejected – without having learnt the tools to manage their disappointment and bounce back to success. You know that it has NOTHING to do with age, qualifications, experience or seniority (not any more!). In the new economy, you must PROACTIVELY take action to decide how much income you want and develop a STRATEGY to create it. Your ability to achieve ANYTHING in life depends on your ability to influence people to your way of thinking! You have to know how to think smart when you want to create wealth. There are plenty of books out there that will teach you this but one thing I want to point out is the knowledge of knowing how to invest on yourself to become wealthier. This is the only way how your wealth can sustain and grow.

I live in the minneapolis area and want to find etiquette or deportment classes how to talk how to walk manners that kind of thing... I know they exist for younger children, but i'm trying to find ones for adults. I've checked the net and come up blank if anyone could help that would be awsome.

You know, those books that teach you to improve your life, how to control your emotions and stuffs, improve your iq. Are they actually useful? I am considering to buy them.
What is the correct balance between work, self improvement, and recreation?
My partner and I seem to have different priorities. Partying to me is empty and boring. I'd much rather go camping or hiking somewhere with really cool nature to see. I also love animals and want to go on wild life reserves and do tours. I also want to travel to places around the world and feel I need to work hard now so I can afford to do those things sooner than later and have enough money to enjoy them well. I also want medical insurance and to be able to save for my retirement. My partner doesn't seem to think that's as important as being a successful DJ. I'm really frustrated by our differences. Also he is a good decade older than I am. I'm 25 and I just don't care much about parties or clubs or raves or any of that right now... I think it's nice on the occasion but that's it. Besides that I just feel we are so different. How can our relationship survive these differences?

I have read too many of them, from Anthony Robbins to Brian Tracy and all I can say is that they are full of mythical things such as " NLP" and some other crap. Can you give me titles of self development books which are useful?

I am currently on a campaign for self improvement. A lot of aspects are involved. One aspect I am working on is improving my academic self. I currently work about 50 hours a week, and I am not sure if I will be able to cut down on hours. Currently, I am employed as a para professional, with a promise of promotion to professional status once I receive a related bachelor's degree.I graduated with a BS in biological sciences and I am wanting to expand upon that in the future.Currently, I am focusing on finishing engineering. The problem is my work schedule and how it doesn't fit into the regional engineering school's marketing plan. I am a non traditional student. They want overacheivers, and are trying to accomplish this by having those who are driven to succeed " influence" the others. For example, many engineering students live together, separate from the rest of the university. This is now expected and required. Is there any chance I can pursue distance education for BS?Ideally, the program needs to insure that I can take the engineering licensure exams. I would open to ANY way to accomplish my degree ASAP while taking care of the other obligations in my life.The main issue is that classes are scheduled all over the place, meaning it is very hard to get what I need. I can provide more details if need be.I have completed general education and engineering intro courses. It is completing the upper division classes that is the problem.What I need to find is how I can get state university rates for a distance degree for a bachelor's of engineering, which I cannot find.
